I had the opportunity to visit Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park on 1/16/2021 and spent the weekend enjoying the heck out of the new camper cabins they just finished building.

I am not a winter camper normally, but when the opportunity came to spend the weekend in a cozy warm cabin, sitting around a fire and relaxing with my girlfriend, I couldn’t pass it up.

Of course, my cameras came along and although they didn’t make it out of my bag for more than 30 minutes it was so exciting to send the drone up and get a look at the surrounding area.

It is so thrilling to be able to see things from such a unique perspective. I wouldn’t have really been able to grasp just how beautiful the area around us truly was without that little drone.

If you are dreaming about a weekend getaway that is safe to do during a Pandemic I cannot recommend visiting your local state parks enough.
