With their latest release of The Infernal Pathway 1349 brings their fall North American tour of grim relentless black metal to the clamoring masses of the Turf Club.
I was lucky enough to be able to cover this awesome show for Music In Minnesota you can read the full article HERE
Concert reviews being what they are I don’t get to share all of my favorite photos in the article, so I decided to put them here because this was a really fun show.
The Turf Club is always a fun place to document shows because it is such a challenging place to shoot. This show, in particular, was very dark,(Black metal show, who would have guessed) I was maxing out the capabilities of my equipment for sure, but that is kind of the point. I want to see what I can get with the gear I love to shoot on.
I love documenting these kinds of shows for Music in Minnesota because this kind of extreme music really only ever gets any attention in the mainstream when something awful happens. It is a type of music and subculture that is greatly misunderstood and I think its really fun to shine a light on this kind of art for a platform like Music In Minnesota.
My hope is to capture the moments of the show in a way that gets people interested enough to give the bands a listen. If for no other reason than to know what it sounds like at an event that looks like that.
I hope you enjoy, thank you for looking!
Bands are in order of appearance: All names are linked to bands’ respective Bandcamp or website. Check them out if you want to hear some intense Heavy Metal.
