I wanted to post my photos from the Friday 10/10/19 protest because I think it’s important to show what this event actually looked like. The news always wants to sensationalize things and scare people into thinking that protests are lawless, violent and dangerous.

That is just an attempt to scare you into staying home and staying quiet. When I was there it was just a lot of peaceful passionate people standing up for their rights and the rights of their neighbors.

I was shocked to hear later on what the media had reported. They painted the event as dangerous and violent. However, according to the people at the event and from what I witnessed with my own eyes the event, on the whole, was peaceful. If it weren’t for the occasion it could have been a block party.

There were issues once the rally let out. One arrest of a Trump supporter was made and there was a video of a trump supporter waving a gun at the crowd from their car.

A fire that was shown on the news was actually a safe and controlled sage cleansing of Trump merchandise that was thrown at protesters by the Trump supporters. There was no riot as was reported.
